The BettingJobs team have had an exceptionally busy start to the summer months, attending two high profile industry events, across two different continents, within the space of two weeks! These events were - Brazilian iGaming Summit (BiS) and iGB Live Amsterdam.
Marking the commencement of a bustling 6 month events calendar for BettingJobs was BiS, running from 28th - 30th of June. BettingJobs Managing Director Jennifer Innes and iGaming recruitment consultant Carla Souter turned on their “out of office” mode amid ongoing travel chaos, and made the journey to Sao Paulo to represent the team. BiS was a highly anticipated event for BettingJobs following the easing of global travel restrictions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The team were equally as keen to resume networking with existing Brazilian and Latam clients, whilst making new connections in the industry. Whilst the journey back to Scotland was not so “plane” sailing, Carla provides a detailed and insightful review of the positive experience had during BettingJobs first time attending BiS.
“The Brazilian iGaming Summit was an interesting experience, particularly to hear about individual’s and businesses' opinions on the regulation of the betting market in Brazil. It is clear that this is an exciting time which will lead to a lot of growth and opportunity within the local igaming sector. We are very much looking forward to continuing to grow our network of candidates and clients in Brazil as the market grows from strength to strength.” - Carla Souter, iGaming Recruitment Consultant at BettingJobs
It was a quick turnaround for the team, as Jennifer and iGaming recruitment consultants, Stuart Armstrong and Euan Green battled further travel pandemonium to attend iGB Amsterdam from 5th-8th of July. Upon arrival at Schiphol airport following a short-haul flight from Glasgow, the team were quickly confronted with an exceptionally long baggage claim queue to retrieve checked luggage. The contents of the luggage described primarily contained traditional Scottish confectionery for our iGB stand, (i.e. Tunnock’s Teacakes and Caramel Wafers), which went down a treat with international clients. Further travel dilemma’s aside, a fantastic experience was had at this high profile event which attracts over 4,500 attendees and 200+ exhibitors. iGB 2022 was a pivotal event for BettingJobs, as this allowed us to reconnect with renowned names within the industry and build new connections alike. As a Global recruitment agency, we are well versed in managing remote relationships. But it is always nice to have some face-to-face interaction with our clients, which was especially welcomed following the long awaited easing of COVID-19 restrictions. Our team provide an insightful account of the success at the iGB live event -
“The turnout at iGB was great. It’s generally just nice to see a new side of the industry that I had not experienced in person before, and it was really nice to reconnect with new and familiar faces who came by the stand. It was a busy few days, but it was definitely worth the trip over. We had a “dam” good time.” - Euan Green, iGaming Recruitment Consultant at BettingJobs
“iGB Live was one of the top conferences of the year for us at BettingJobs, and the event received a large turnout of diverse suppliers, operators, and affiliates. It was great reconnecting with our existing contacts, as well as making many new connections.” - Stuart Armstrong, iGaming Recruitment Consultant at BettingJobs
“Much of the discussions we had with clients was surrounding current industry trends, finding quality employees and the rise of WFH culture. As the leading recruitment company in the industry, the conference allowed us to meet new contacts and continue to share with others the high-quality service we provide as the leading iGaming recruitment solutions, all whilst enjoying a positive atmosphere.” - Stuart Armstrong, iGaming Recruitment Consultant at BettingJobs
Attending high profile events such as BiS and iGB live gives us the opportunity to continue to build our reputation as the go to global recruitment solution provider for the iGaming industry. It can be agreed, both events (minus the travel mayhem) were a great success for BettingJobs. Our team thoroughly enjoyed the recommencement of international travel to resume networking with existing clients, as well as making new connections worldwide. We are also looking forward to attending more events later in the year, such as G2E Las Vegas and SiGMA Europe.
We hope to see you there!
